Delayed Period. Contraceptive Taken. Delivery Through Surgical Operation. Advise?
I gave birth a child through surgical operation. Unfortunately, the baby died after 2 days due to apnea. After 10 days of giving birth, I suffered from bleeding and consulted with a physician. The physician gave me mifepristone and bleeding was stopped. Recently (after 3 months), menstrual cycle is found delayed till now. The last m. cycle was occured on 3 rd April, 2013. I had intercourse with my husband on the 5 th day and I have taken contraceptive pill (SUVIDHA) according to the prescription. Kindly help me....

Your last menstrual period was 3rd of april and today is 4th of may.This means you are over due by only one day.Chances of pregnancy are very less as intercourse took place on 5th day of cycle which is your safe period.Secondly menstrual cycle do get disturbed after taking mifepristone.Thirdly you had taken contraceptive pill.The delay in your cycle (though only one day) could be due to disturbence in your cycle due to mifepristone.If your cycle get delayed by more than 10 days,get your urine examination done to rule out pregnancy as a cause for delayed periods.

You delivered a baby thro' caesarian section, but unfortunately the baby died due to apnea. 10 days after delivery you had bleeding which was arrested by mifepristone?. I assume that you got your regular perods after that and your LMP was April 3rd. As per your words you had sex with your husband on the 5th day that is April 8th. After that you started using contraceptive pills . If it is so you are very safe. The chance for pregnancy is nil. More over you have to wait for few more days for assessment as you have taken contraceptive pills only from 8th of April
Advise: Any contraceptive pill should be taken from from the 1st day of the menstrual cycle
