Delayed Period. Using Copper T. Is Pregnancy Possible When Using Copper T?

Hi doctor, i am a mother of two years old kid. Last year in the month of july 2012i put copper T as my doc. told me its the safest method for birth control. Everything was going well. Even on 2nd may 2013 i went for regular check up for my copper T and my doc. said everything is fine no problem.Bt this month i didn't get my periods... my due date was 8th of may and today is 13th may. I am worried. My query is ...can i get pregnant with copper T also? Pls help me out??

Thanks for the query.
The more possible cause for your delayed periods are side effect of copper T.
IUDs can sometimes disturb the menstrual cycle.
Though copper T is having some failure rate, that is rare possibility.
If you are having doubt, better to go for pregnancy test once.
If the test comes negative, wait for few more days and possibly by that time you will get periods.
