Diagnosed With Underactive Thyroid. Low Iron Levels. Sore Throat And Pain In The Legs. Need Help
I am so fed up. I was dignosised with an under active thyroid 8 weeks ago. My iron levels have been dropping over the past two years, rapidly . My doctor has arranged to test my iron levels. I had the flu for two weeks and now I am left with a sore throat, aching legs and weakness. I have had reoccurring site throats for over a year now and each time it's either been a bacterial or virual infection. Could you please advise as to possible causes of being constantly unwell and whether the sore throat, weakness etc are normal following flu. I also have an increased appetite and am struggling to control the amount I eat which I usually have no problem with .
Hi, For hypothyroid and having anemia go for treatment as advice by your doctor. For having chronic and recurring throat problem, there might be having follicular tonsillitis, having focus of infection remains constant in tonsils giving rise to infection. Go for throat swab to know the organism and antibiotic working on it. After report go for long course of antibiotic course. If your doctor advices for tonsillectomy, go for operation. Avoid cold drinks, fried and junk food. Ok and take care.
