Do Iron Infusions Cause Irregular Periods During Birth Control?
I have a history of anemia. My iron stores have been low the past year or so. I started a low dose birth control pill that regulated my periods during the same time. Up until recently they have been very regular, with no change in iron levels. Now I have been bleeding for 45 days. Dr's are not sure why my levels never went up but they did infusions. Why all of a sudden is my period irregular again. Would the iron infusions contribute to this? Will they even work if my period does not stop?
