Does Premarin Causes Joint Ache, Tiredness With Lot Of Bloating?
Hi I had a hysterectomy 15 years ago still have my ovaries have been going through menopause for about a year have been taking premarin 0.65 mg for a year it helped with hot flashes and night sweats but I feel tired most of the time joints ache and have a hard time loosing weight I exercise regularly and eat healthy I am 56 years old could the premarin be the cause of these symptoms also have a lot of bloating I would like to stop taking the preparing or do you have to do it gradually
Symptoms may be due to premarin. The tiredness and joint pain may be due to decreasing ovarian function so that now the dose of permarin is not sufficient. However since you have used it for a year now it is better to withdraw it gradually if you want to, maybe take alternate day and then increase the duration till completely stopping.
Also if the symptoms persist even after withdrawl, get evaluated for hypothyroidism. Also it would be better to see your physician for complete clinical examination as these symptoms are not specific and may be caused by many conditions.
