Does The Size Of The Polyp Matter Which Is Diagnosed From Colonoscopy?

Had a colonoscopy Thursday and one polyp was very large...about the size of the intestine area. Doctor of course sending out for a check. he said it was soft but does the size of the polyp matter. I have no issues or problems. Just never had a colonoscopy.

There are many conditions involving polyps in the colon. These conditions need to be reviewed before starting any treatment. It is best to send the polyp for histopathological examination and get a cell diagnosis to be certain that a polyp is benign or not. The domain of colonic polys is usually in the surgical field and regular follow ups may be required if you are diagnosed with a polyp. There are small polyps which can involve extensive areas of the intestine. Some polyps are also scattered over multiple locations and possible areas of the bowel need to be evaluated.
