Does Vitamin B1 Supplement Help In Treating Neuropathy?
I have been diagnosed with Plantar Faciitis. I ve gone through physical therapy, do prescribed exercises and still have ongoing pain. The pain is a feeling of pins and needles. Some times a feeling of numbness in my toes. At times the feeling of having rocks in my shoes. Are there other remedies or possibly another diagnosis. I have read that a B-1 supplement might help for neurapathy. Thanks for your response. Bob A.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) supplementation certainly helps to keep the peripheral nerves healthy. However, peripheral neuropathy symptoms like pins and needles are best treated with supplementation of Vitamin B12. You can take supplementation of both the vitamins regularly, which will help you to overcome the symptoms which you are having. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
