Drumming Noise In Ear, Dry Throat With Cough, Had Urine Retention. Alternative Medication?
I have a drumming noise in my left ear, like someone beating on a drum. I've had it for two days, but it appears to go away when riding in a car. Also a very dry throat and I started this morning with a cough. I saw a doctor today and he indicated that it might be a problem in the estachinary (sp) tube. He prescribed Afrin and Sudafed to see if that won't clear it up. The problem is that I have had urine retention prior in 2012 (with a cather required), which both of these products indicate should not be taken if you have an enlarged prostate. I take both Finesteride and Tamsolosin for the prostate. I am leary because of the prior retention. Is there another alternative to both of the prescribed medications?
