Dry Rash On Upper Arms, Legs. Applied Hydrocortisone, Muprirocin. Related To Diabetes?

Hi There,
I would really appreciate some input with my skin condition. I am 54 y.o. have never had a skin condition until 5 months ago. Small bumpy/dry/rash on my upper arms and upper legs. Legs just feel dry, not really itchy. Arms were very itchy I itched and itched for days as nothing relieved them. I still itch them couple times a day as they are so dry.
I have no Health Insurance. I have seen a MD she prescribed many creams. ie: (Hydrocortisone Cream 2.5%. Muprirocin Ointment 2%. HC Butyrate 0.1% and others that I could not afford. None of them helped. I take a shower then I apply coconut oil on my arms every day. It calms it down to a degree. It feels like nothing penetrates it, feels like all the lotions I put on do not absorb, they sit on top of my skin. I have tried Vit E capsules, Aloe Vera, baking soda, apple cider vinegar.

I also was diagnosed with diabetes a couple months after that. Would that have anything to do with this skin condition?

Thank you,
Sincerely,
Cindy

get your sugar levels tested.. it seems like you have diabetic skin condition.. even when your sugar level raises you will have skin changes.. try to be hydrated.. drink plenty of water.. have fiber foods... external things might help but inner repair is a must.. keep your blood sugar values in limit
