Fatigue, Appetite Loss, Headaches And Dizziness. Had An Episode Of Tingly Swollen Tongue. Is This Serious?

Hi, I have a bit of a complicated question.... I have no clue how to fix what s wrong with me but I feel like I m physically breaking. **little background info** I am a 23 year old female. I gave birth January 26, 2013. They forgot pieces of the placenta in and in turn I had haemorrhaging at around 4 weeks. In June I put the Mirena IUD in which I was advised to avoid damaging my uterus more as I am extra fertile. Since then, my symptoms that I had before that (which were the cramping, bleeding, nausea, etc.) have gotten worse; although, they were present PRIOR to the IUD insertion but all was cleared. My spouse then was discovered to be positive with chlamydia which I caught and was treated, then upon retest was negative. Afterwards, because I was vigorously exercising, I developed shin splints so he told me to not exercise for a month.... AND NOW I still have my symptoms and got everything ultrasounded (abdomen & uterus) which they found out I had a fatty liver (non alcoholic) and it was enlarged. I then saw my doctor who seemed to fluff off the test and treat it like it was nothing (i.e. his response was Well we tested your enzymes for your liver last year so you should be fine .... should I be requesting a specialist or should I trust his judgement? I exercise often (3-5 times per week) as I am in the police foundations program. I know I am struggling with losing weight but he blamed it on my caloric intake which in reality, I eat 1-2 meals per day and rarely snack so if anything it would be lack of nutrition, not excess. I hydrate a lot. Here are my current symptoms: My weight fluctuates EASILY, i.e. after baby = 183, 2 months later of exercise = 160... stopped due to shin splints, gained back to 183, then 1 day of exercise went down to 176. Currently 5 4 and 176lbs. random dizziness headaches - every other day, migraines possibly once a week or two weeks ALWAYS thirsty Extreme sharp pain on right side of abdomen from rib to hip then curls under my belly, generally closer to my ribs though - occurs every time I eat loss of appetite constant fatigue - if I sleep 2 hours vs 9 hours, I will feel the same tiredness. difficulty focusing and concentrating After running more than 5 min : chest pain, back pain in between shoulder blades (Particularly the right side) Shin Splints have worsened - now I have pain even when I m sitting - not just running anymore. And the ODD part here is as follows: Today, I was doing my fitness testing for police foundations. I was doing the shuttle run/beep test and within 1 min of running my head got really light. I kept running lightly and then within 30 sec my tongue FELT like it was swollen and quivering. Got REALLY dry as if I had been at the dentist office and was blocking off my air slightly. It got numb and tingly. I kept trying to salivate to get it to moisten, but it just made my tongue flap around uncontrollably. I stopped the running at 3 minutes even though my body didn t feel tired, the tongue thing got worse and I had to swish water in my mouth for about 30 minutes and drank about 1/2 a litre afterwards until it felt moderately moist again. This has NEVER happened to me and I run regularly. Should I be concerned??

Hello and welcome.

Thanks for sharing your concern.

Dryness on tongue could be due to following reasons.

1.Fungal infection

2.Abnormality in any of the salivary gland especially sub mandibular.

3.Few syndromes and lesions causes obstruction in salivary flow.

Therefore I would suggest you to please visit your dentist and get yourself clinically evaluated.

Hope it helps.

Thanks.

Take care.
