Gluten Intolerant. High Perioxidase Antibodies Levels. Having Multiple Symptoms. Hashimoto's Disease?

My wife has just had thyroid test all TSH,t3 & t4 in normal range but het Peroxiase antibodies are 340. She has been very poorly for years and also found out she is gluten intolerant two years ago. She looses her voice every other week asnd barely has energy to get up. She has dry skin , tongue ulcers, brittle nails, hair falling out, loss of sex drive, she had tinnitus a while back as well as always sore joints, pains. Does this sound like Hashimotos disease and do you think the gluten could be a factor

Hi
Celiac disease (Gluten intolerance) is an autoimmune disease and can be associated with other autoimmune diseases. thyroid is one of them. in presence of elevated thyroid antibodies with normal thyroid functions, u r at higher risk to develop thyroid dysfunction - most likely hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid). It would be necessary to get ur thyroid functions tested atleast annually or on SOS basis if u develop thyroid dysfunction symptoms.
