Got Hit In The Ankle. Bruised And Swelled. Have Burning Sensation. Bone Bruise?

7 days ago I was playing coed softball and was hit with a line drive on my inner left ankle. It immediately bruised and swelled up. It is now a week later and the bruising is terrible around it and has traveled down into my foot. I also have a terrible burning sensation on the bruise whenever I touch it or anything for that matter touches it. Can this be a sign of a bone bruise?

Greetings of the day

It looks like cellulitis which is spreading inflammation of subcutaneous tissue.
Kindly get a Xray of the foot to rule out any bony injury.
If there is no fracture it requires limb elevation, rest, antibiotic like Cefixime and a analgesics like diclofenac sodium.
Consult a general surgeon.
Take care
