Groin Hernia Repaired By Laparoscopy. Swelling Around The Incision Persisting. Due To Lack Of Exercise? Need To Get Checked?
I had a groin hernia repaired laproscopicly 5 weeks ago. I feel better day by day and have been back to doing some light cardio on the treadmill for the past 2 weeks. Sitting around doing little exercise tends to make one fat, but this seems extreme. Is it normal to have swelling around the incisions for 5 weeks afterward, or am I just getting fat from lack of exercise? How long can I expect to have swelling there? Thank you.
Reaction to injury and scar may vary with individuals...may be excessive in some
Give some more time - 2 to 3 weeks.
See your surgeon, if not improving / see him now, if there is pain
Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
