Had Iron Infusions Due To Heavy Periods. Do I Need Surgery?
I have had a period basically everyday for the past 2 years. Most days were very light, but in the past few months they have become increasingly heavy, with large clots. I had to have iron infusions in October because of the bleeding, and now I just want this to be over with so I can get on with my life. The problem is I am extremely afraid of hospitals and due to the fact that I am over weight, I am afraid to have the surgery

See since you are complaining of spotting for the last 2 years it is not something you can really ignore . Here i would like you to specify the age which is most important in the case of some of the menstrual problems . Another important query that arises is that you got some intrauterine device insertedw . And since you have not specified about what was gynoe and obstetric history , Iwould advice you to consult your doctor iommediately mentioning all the ponrs i have told to make the diagnoses easier and decide the line of treatment . May be you need a hormonal profile id a Usg.
