Hard And Painful Bump On Inner Thighs, Bleeds And Oozes A Little. Could It Be An STD ?

Hi. I recently discovered a bump on my inner thigh. At first, it seemed just like a regular pimple that would be on your face, and I popped it. After that, I became hard and very painful. After I get out of the shower it bleeds and oozes a little. Now that it has been a few days, it seems dry, almost like dead skin and looks white. Do you know what this could be? Could it be an STD? I have been sexually active in the last month. Thanks.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

Sexually transmitted diseases are associated with discharge from the genital tract, itching, ulcers/ sores, or enlarged lymph nodes.
All the above mentioned findings can be present or just a few of them.
An isolated single boil on the thigh which bleeds and oozes is unlikely to be because of sexually transmitted disease.
On the basis of your description, the lesion seems to be an infectious focus.
An appearance of a boil, oozing out of fluid and bleeding could be due to a superimposed infection.
Now that the lesion has dried out, no investigation can be done.
However, if you get similar lesion further, consult your doctor at the earliest.
Multiple partners is a risk factor for transmission of sexually transmitted diseases.
If you have a history of multiple partners then you need to be cautious.
Barrier method of contraception is the only method of contraception that prevents the transmission of the sexually transmitted diseases.

Thanks and take care
