I have gone through your query regarding clicking sound on swallowing, and you are in suspicion that it is because of laryngeal injury ar you are a crime victim.
Here I would like to tell you that laryngeal injuries are usually associated with-
(a) Change in voice.
(b) Difficulty in breathing.
(c) Difficulty in swallowing ( some times).
Therefore I think your doctor is treating according to examination findings, therefore he is doing correct. But if still you are not satisfied than you may do M.R.I.neck that will disclose the facts.
Regards.
