Have Fever, Headache And Cold. Tested Negative For Strep. Took Amoxicillin. Having Achy Body. What's Wrong?

I feel i have a fever with extreme chills, and a pretty persistant headache . I just recently got over a sickness that the doctor thought might be strep , but the test came back negative. He prescribe me amoxicilin to be on the safe side, but i did not take it. I have aches all over my body and especially in my head anc neck. No sore throat , and no runny nose. Whats wrong with me?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having fever, headache, cold with achy body.
All these symptoms indicate bacterial or viral infection. This requires treatment by the use of antibiotics, analgesics and decongestant drugs.
Body ache is called ad myalgia and is seen in viral infections.
Since you not taken antibiotics prescribed by your doctor, I advice you to start treatment and consult your doctor for further treatment.
