Hello Doctor. I m 28 years female, since starting my periods were always on routine (28-30 days cycle). Two years back I have delivered my first baby via normal delivery. But since last 5 months I m noticing irregularity in my periods. Initially it started with 3-4 days delay but now the cycle ha prolonged to almost +15 to17 days. Neither I m gaining any extra weight (currently I weigh 54kg with 156 cm height) nor loosing the same since almost two years now. Please suggest the possible reason/medication/solution for the same.
Hi.. Thanks for the query.. There are few more details needed before answering.. Are you still feeding your baby? Are you using any methods of contraception to postpone pregnancy? Now, there can be hormonal imbalances after delivery which cause irregular periods? Again, are your periods just delayed or associated with excessive bleeding? You can get an ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis done to rule of any condition like fibroid.. It could just be a hormonal imbalance for which your gynecologist can prescribe some pills for regularization of periods. You ht and wt seem to be in normal range.. Hope I helped you..
