Have Irregular Periods And Discharge Along With Abdomen Pain. Can This Be Pregnancy?

Hi, I was 4 days late to get my period last month and it stayed for 4 days. Then 13 days after the start date of my period i had a brown discharge for a couple days, and went away. Then about a week later I am back to having the brown mucus discharge, but I have had a creamy colored discharge most of the month. And I have also been having pain on the right side of my abdomen. I have taken a pregnancy test and it was negative. Please help?! I am 21 I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old. I had my gallbladder out following my first daughter.

Hello,

Apart from pregnancy, this brown spotting can be due to hormonal imbalance, stress, anxiety, crashed dieting, use of birth control pills, change in environment, excessive exercise etc.

Medical causes include polycystic ovarian syndrome, diseases of pituitary gland, hormonal imbalance of estrogen and progesterone and uterine abnormalities like fibroid and cervical dysplasia.

You should get a pelvic examination done from your gynecologist to confirm the diagnosis.

Hope it helps you. Regards.
