Have Stopped Progesterone Cause Of Side Effects, Had Abnormal Bleeding Due To Fibroid. Will Worsen?

I just stopped taking oral progesterone because of the side effects. I was on 2 5mg tablets a day for two and a half months because I was having very abnormal bleeding because of a fibroid. Not that I have stopped I am bleeding again but not to bad yet. Could it get very bad again soon? I was filling a pad an hour maybe more before I started this pill.

Hello
Thanks for your query.
If you responded to medical management, then you are likely to respond to it in the future.
Other options include injectable progesterone, progesterone containing IUDs, HIFU for the fibroid etc.
A last resort is hysterectomy.
If symptoms recur, consult a gynecologist.
Take care.
