Have Violent And Aggressive Cough Along With Sound In Chest. Taking Amoxilin. What Can This Be?

i have had a caugh for 3 weiy caugh is violent and agressive and my chest makes the most ratly sound ive never had it befor when i breath and it makes me caugh as i take a breath, it just wont clear. i want to caugh up but nothing comes up only the rattle sound. im 57 female doctor he gave me 250 mg amoxilin. m saw a doeks. last week

It is possible that you may have bronchits. Bronchitis can be viral or bacterial.

The antibiotics may help if it is bacterial. Other aspects of treatment may include the use of medication that can reopen the airway (sometimes persistent coughing is related to airway closure).
These medications are often combined with mucolytics which may break down the mucus in your chest.

The use of honey and humidfiers may also help with your symptoms.
