Having Cold, Febrile Convulsions. Fever Under Control. Developed Bloodshot Eye. Suggestions?
hi there. My daughter has a cold and suffers febrile convulsions. She has had a temperature now for 5 days which ive managed to keep down using neurofen and calpol . since yestoday though she has developed a bloodshot eye and what looks like an infected spot along with the blood shot in her eye. Ive washed her eyes of any weapyness and its deffinately attached to her eyeball.
HI,Problem of your daughter is related to high grade fever with convulsions.During fever capillaries become fragile & platelets count decreases. These two factors cause leaking of blood in eyes.she is having subconjunctival haemarrage.Don't worry.Following treatment is advised, 1-Get platelets count done. 2-Keep the fever down. 3-put Mezol eye drop thrice daily 4-Do cold fomentation with ice cubes. 5-Moxicip eye drops 4 times daily. 6-Tab vitamin C 500 mg twice daily. 7-Don't rub eyes. Continue this treatment for 10 days, hope she will be fine.
