Having Sore Throat, Saliva Gland Stone And Swelling In The Tonsils. Had Antibiotics. CT Scan Advised

I started out 2 months ago with a sore throat and saliva gland stone & swolleness on the right side then my right tonsil became inflamed. I have been on 4 rounds of antibiotics which seems to help the infection but once off of them for two days everything starts getting worse again. I have to go for a ct scan on Monday. Do you have any advise?

Hi,
Sore throat with swelling in right side of tonsil (tonsilitis) is usually treated with antibiotics.
Salivary gland stones may be diagnosed with physical examination and for accurate diagnosis X ray's or CT scan(more preferred) is needed.
You can have food stuffs which causes excessive salivation in the mouth like lemon etc. this excessive salivation may help in spontaneous removal of stones from salivary glands.
Your surgeon may operate it out or can guide the stone out by proper massging
Have plenty of beverages which increase salivation.
