Having Throbbing, Sharp Pain In Eye, Eyes Feel Gritty And Painful To Blink. What Could This Be?
Hello, I am having throbbing, sometimes sharp, pain around my left eye. The eyelid is painful and the eye itself feels "gritty". It is painful to blink and to move the eye. I do not wear contacts. Symptoms began two days ago and have increased in severity in that time. The eye is not red and there is no discharge. What could this be?
you description fits that of an early stye... which is an infection of an eyelash root. If it not possible for you to consult an ophthalmologist, you can start with : 1. Tab Combiflam twice daily after meals for three days. 2. Tab Ampi CLox (500 mg) thrice daily for five days (after meals) 3. Zymar eyedrop four times daily. 4. Warm compress with wet warm cloth 2 -3 times daily. I assume that you are an adult and that you are not allergic to any medications. In case you are allergic to any medication, you must consult an ophthalmologist before starting any medication. regards, Ajit Hazari.
