Hi , on wednesday I was stunting in Cheerleading , and when we lift the girl in the air she fell and hit me on the top of my temple . Now on that day it kinda hurted to eat and open my mouth wide .. The next day it felt better but it felt like I had a small bump at the top of my temple .. I don t get headaches of anything , my vision is fine .. I just wanted to know will my head be ok ?
Hi
If you have not hit any hard surface at the time of impact then I do not think you have sustained any head injury considering you do not have severe headache, blurring of vision, nausea or ear/ nose bleed and clear discharge from nose.
For the bump over temple ice packs usually provide relief when used early.
If eating and opening the mouth was only for a day then its acceptable. But if you are still having discomfort then you might have to get an X-Ray of the Temporo- mandibular joint done to rule out any Temporo-mandibular joint dysfunction.
If however you develop any of the signs of head injury as mentioned above then you would need to get a C T Scan Brain ( Plain) done.
