Hello, I'm 22 yrs old and have been experiencing a lot of headaches recently and yesterday had a sharp brief pain on right side of my head and it made be feel like I was about to pass out. I have a doctor appt next week should I be worried before then if it is something serious? I've kept a headache or pressure like feeling in my head about everyday?
Hello, Welcome to Healthcaremagic. I think you are suffering Ice-pick headache. It is one of common Primary headache. It is a sharp , stabbing, excruciating intense painful headache lasts for few to 30 seconds only. It is more common in migraine patients. It can go even before you take medicine. Some people need NSAIDS to prevent headache. So do not get worried. It is better to consult one Neurologist and imaging of brain to avoid unnecessary tension.
Hope this helps. Take care.
