I had gastric bypass 3.5 yrs ago. I lost 90 pounds and have been at thia weight for 1.5 years. on occation I feel sluggish, and my blood pressure is within the acceptible range, but i tend to have a high pulse rate. I have been eating some sweets, not many, and even after I eat a regular meal my heart rate increases. What can casue this?
Hi and welcome to HCM. Thanks for the query. It could be related to your gastric bypass because there is imbalance in food digestion after it and some food may trigger bp variations. you should at more frequently but smaller meals and avoid alcohol, sweers and fried food. Also, drink plenty of water and avoid salty food. If nothing works you should see cardiologist and channge your medications. Wish you good health. Regards
