How Can Swelling Of Throat With Fever And Headaches Be Treated?
I got my tonue pierced a week ago and my throat was really swollen. I went to the doctor and they tested me for strep and mono and put me on anti biotics for my tongue. Strep came out negative and mono results havent come back yet. The antibiotics helped with my fever and headache but my throat is just getting worse, and all I ve been doing it resting. I m thinking I could be allergic to my tongue ring, but I can t change it yet. How do I keep my throat from swelling shut?
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
Your symptoms are more likely to be related to an infection. The infection is usually related to fever and headache. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest to continue the cycle of antibiotics. I recommend to use a throat spray with antibacterial properties.
