How Is The 28 Pills For Birth Control Taken?

I was wondering, im on the 28 pills birth control pill. for example, im on my period but i still have about 3 days worth of pills left, do i continue taking them or should i just skip them and start taking the sugar pills, after im done with my period do i continue taking the leftover pills?

Hello,

You should continue to take every pill in order without skipping days. Sometimes your bleeding may be off schedule from the sugar pills by a few days.

Also, with continued use, your may have less bleeding and not bleed every day of the sugar pills.

If you have already skipped some pills since you asked your question, you can start a new pack on the Sunday of your period. Over time, your cycle will adjust to the cycle of the pills.
