How Long Should I Wait To Sing After Tonsillectomy?

i am a vocalist in my church praise band. i had a tonsillectomy 12/11. when is it safe to sing again? my right side of throat does not hurt, however the left side still has some residual tenderness and white scabbing. also how lond does it take for everything to resolve? I realize case is different.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
You had tonsillectomy 12/11 still your throat is hurting, to some extent.
so long it should not be there , it appears that there is some infection, left. As it is you should be fit to go for singing. Still you are feeling pain means you must be having some infection, or you must be using some irritants of throat like fruits.
I advise you to consult an E.N.T. surgeon for diagnosis. You may need to have the culture and sensitivity of the throat swab, and treatment accordingly.
Avoid taking fruits, juices, ice cream, ice water, etc .
