How Long Should The Medication Prescribed Before Colonoscopy Be Taken ?

I am having a colonoscopy tomorrow and have prepped today by having only clear liquids and drinking the yukky stuff prescribed. I have drank approximately 1/2 of the jug, by drinking 8 oz. approximately 15 minutes apart for the past 8 hours. Stool is now clear and watery....must I continue to drink the rest???
