Hello,
i have seen many patients with same problem like you are facing. This occurs because of continuous sitting, which causes muscles of back to get fatigue and leads to pain. I understand that your pain will not improve very fast. You need to learn back muscle strengthening exercises, also muscle relaxant like myoril and myospaz will also help you. Remember muscle strengthening exercises will take months but this is only permanent solution. As far as MRI is concern you can certainly get it done, but i do not thin it is going to change treatment. Back pain need some lifestyle modifications also like how you sit, bend or sleep. Do not use very soft mattress.

Internal Medicine Specialist Dr. Qaviullah Mian's  Response
hi there!
Its good that you have already consulted an orthopaedic surgeon for your problem. Sitting in front of the computer for 10 plus hours long has a taxing effect on spine and its muscles.
I suggest you continue with the prescription given by your orthopaedic surgeon cause examination has major part in understanding the nature of the problem. You do not need to worry too much. In such cases I would also go for symptomatic treatment by prescribing pain killers and muscle relaxants or spasmolytics. So I suggest you pay a follow up visit to that surgeon and he might be in a better position to go for x ray or MRI spine.
Take rest till then.
take vorltarol tablets 50 mg 3 times a day plus tab esomeprazole 40mg once daily and cyclobrmzaprine 5mg three times a daytill your follow up visit.
Hope this helps. Best of luck with your problem.
