How To Cure Loss Of Sensation On The Clitoris After Menopause?

Hi I'm 55 and have gone through the menopause. I had a hip replacement nearly a year ago and it seems since then I have gradually lost sensation in my clitoris and now there is next to none. could the op be the problem or could it be hormonal? I never had any problems before....I'm really worried now that this could be permanent.

Hello,

There are certain factors which do play a role in causing sexual dysfunction like hormonal problems, neurological, vascular, psychological, interpersonal relationship with the spouse, etc. Menopausal phase may cause issues with lubrication, libido and orgasm. The problem commonly resolves, it should not cause you any permanent problem. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist, if required hormonal treatment (estrogen therapy) will be done.

You should do few exercises under a Physiotherapist to help increase the blood flow to the clitoris. Regular sex with your partner, foreplay or masturbation helps to promote blood supply to the clit. Always use lubricants to increase libido and have better sexual experience. You can take vitamin E rich food or Evion - 400, once daily for 10 days & experience the difference. Maintain healthy weight, Obesity may cause loss of sensation in the clitoris.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
