General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
Your condition is most likely carpal tunnel syndrome which is caused by trapped or pinched median nerve in carpel tunnel in wrist.Pain can radiate till arm.For my patient i usually give NSAID drugs nerve vitamins like vitamin B6 and B12. I also advise patients to do stretching exercises. If not helping by that then local corticosteroids injection also will be given.Carpal tunnel release surgery will be advised in those who are not getting relief to all of these.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
Have a nice day.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Saurabh Gupta's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
Initial treatment generally involves resting the affected hand and wrist for at least 2 weeks, avoiding activities that may worsen symptoms, and immobilizing the wrist in a splint to avoid further damage from twisting or bending. If there is inflammation, applying cool packs can help reduce swelling.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
