How To Treat Persistent Allodynia?

I have allodynia and it seems to be getting worse. At times, I can t stand to have clothing or bedding touch my skin. It feels like a severe sunburn. I am being treated for neuropathy with Lyrica 150mg TID. Is there any treatment for this persistent allodynia?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

I would recommend you to take tablet Gabapentin twice daily along with tablet Amitriptyline once daily at bedtime for 5-6 weeks.

These are prescription drugs and should be taken under the supervision of the doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
