I have varicose veins on my right calf and now also on the right area of my groin - the swelling vanish when I sit or lay down or swim. I have been told stripping is not provided on the NHS - is there anything I can do. My groin veins do cause discomfort.
Hi, you will require treatment for the Varicose veins with the history that you give. If the NHS does not provide Stripping then there would be other modes of treatment the organisation would be offering you. Laser surgery or RFA are equally good with lesser pain. You can go in for either of them. Do let me know if they do not offer either of these. Take care, Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
