There are many causes of chest pain. It could be because of lungs and its covering membranes(pleura), muscles, ribs and cartilages, connective tissue, vertebrae and nerves or it can be due to gastritis, reflux disease or any other intra abdominal pathology.Important causes of chest pain can be various heart conditions. You need to see an internist who can examine you in detail, perform some basic tests and guide you further.
