I Had Anterior Cervical Laminectomy Discectomy And Fusion, Kindly Suggest

I had the above about ten years ago. The vertebrae above is prolapsed and I have been advised by the neurologist is the only other option. this is evident on the MRI as well as the XRAYS. I am in constant pain and experiencing numbness and pins and needles in my left shoulder and fingers. Is this operation a necessity of is there an alternative method.
