i had hernia surgery a month ago, all of a sudden I have pain in my stomach and black stool, what's going on? I am a 58 year old man. I had hernia surgery a month ago and everything has been fine. Today I woke up with pain in my stomach and my stool is black. I recently had the flu this past week. Is this normal?

no buddy..not at all normal..dont panic but meet you doctor and get some investigations done...it is not at all related to hernia...you migh be suffering form some intestinal infection.
