I Have Hashimoto S Disease & Numbness On My Face, What Can Cause This?
I have Hashimoto s disease my voice has been horase for months so I saw ENT DR. on 02-03-11 he did a flexible Laryngoscopy on me and said everything looked good, after I had that done my nose & upper lip felt numb I thought it would go away. On 02-06-11 I woke up that morning and my whole face was numb my shoulders, face & arms felt heavy but I felt weak & tired. I called nurse & they told me I should go to the ER so I went they did lots of test EKG & Head scan, blood work & said everything looked good except my white count was high & I might have something called neuropathy & I should follow up with my DR. & find out if the ENT DR. used a numbing onitment on me, but he did not. Today pain in my right leg & my little toes are numb & my face still numb. What can cause this?
Thyroid disease is known to cause neuropathy in some, not many studies have proven it though. I suggest u get a metabloic work up done next as your neuro imaging has come normal. Also have u got your thyroid function done recently?
