In Forties Age, Periods Over, Still Spotting, Bloated Stomach. Is This Normal?
Hi, I am 44 years old and haven t gotten my period since last April. Just had a pap smear and checkup last week. Since I ve had a few days, well only mornings (first thing am) of light pink spotting when I wipe. I also feel bloated like I might be getting my period, but no further spotting during the day. Is this normal? No blood tests to confirm menopause .
The symptoms you mentioned could be due to hormonal imbalance in the perimenopausal period. Possibly they will subside soon without the need of medication. If needed you can go for symptomatic treatment. If the symptoms persist or increase in severity, if your cycles become more irregular once consult gynecologist and get evaluated. If she suggests you can go for low dose of hormones to correct the symptoms. For more details you can ask me through: http://www.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-sree-gouri-sr/63429 Take care.
