Intermittent Spasms In Right Eye, Double Vision. Have Disc Protrusion. Recommendations?

I have intermitten spasms in my right eye that cause a visual impairment in the form of double vision. I was checked by a neuro-opthamologist at emory Univ. and was told everything in the eye and skull was normal. This problem is definitely positional, as I can lie down or tilt my head up or down and the problem is temporarily alleviated.I do have some disc protrusion in the cervical area, but cannot find anyone who thinks this is the cause. The condition is worsening.
Interestingly, I also have a severe itch on my back just below the scapula, again on the right side.

Hi, it appears to be the neuritis of the nerves of the eye. Varify whether you have diabetis or hypertension, smoking or drinking. I advise you to consult a neuro physician for diagnosis and treatment.
I advise you to take the things rich in vitami A like carrot, green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and proteine rich foods. Thank you.
