Is Cetzine Safe For Treatment Of Allergic Itching?

I am having allergy of itching on my hands & legs during evening and night for the last nearly 10 years and the doctors prescribed cetzine.Now also i am continuing once in two days.Is there any after effect of side effects for this medicine and is there any ways to stop this drug.?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....

As per your complain Cetrizine is an anti-allergic and in case if you have allergic reaction leading to itching in hands and legs taking Cetrizine for the whole life is not the only solution..
You should consult an Allergist and get evaluated and along with a thorouugh clinical evaluation he can also advise you to get allergic testing done like Patch test, RAST test and food challenge test..
Once the allergic substance is diagnosed avoiding exposure to the allergen can help..
He can also instil an Immunotherapy to reduce the frequency and duration of allergic reaction..
