Is Conceiving Safe While Having Damaged Cervix?

I have a damage cervix from having cancer cells removed 2 to 3 times from age of 19 years old,was found when had my son at 18 years. I am now 32 and have had copper i.u.ds for birth control since then.I am considering having another child and am concerned on what risks if any with having a damaged cervix.
