Is It Standard To Have Heart Tests Before Adriamycin?

I am 69, female w/IV met bc. Have taken hormonal treatments, then Xoloda, now Dr wants me to try low dosage Adriamycin, because my tumor markers have gone back up. also have diabetic neuropathy, Is it standard of care to have heart tests before starting Adriamycin? Dr did not order any heart tests for baseline.

Ya. Adroyamycin can cause cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure, so it is standard protocol to rule out any preexisting heart disease before starting it. I hope I solved ur query.
