Is Normal Delivery Possible With 2 Loops Of Cord Around Neck Complete And Incomplete?

hi,
i am 39weeks 1d and found out 2 loops of cord around neck complete,incomplete,in my sonography last week,is normal delivery possible or i have to go for C ? I am due for 4th feb.i had my intenal check up on 17th jan.On 23 jan my doc had suggested me to wait for a week n would do my second Internal check up to check the baby's head,how much it came down,then we would be taking decision.But I am really worried as I am not prepared for C-section,My other all factors are normal,even the fluid is good.please suggest me either to wait or not

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

Loops of cord around the neck, called a nuchal cord, is very common. It is not an indication for a C-section. Many children are born with a nuchal cord and it is better to not even know about it. It can cause some problems with the fetal heart rate during labor which would appropriately be addressed at that time. But if the pregnancy is otherwise uncomplicated, do not go ahead with a C-section for this reason alone.
