What Does This Doppler Scan Report During Pregnancy Indicate?

Hi Sir / Madam, we have couple of queries related to our baby. My wife is in pregnancy of 36 weeks (Age: 35 years and height: 5feet, 4 inches and weight: 76 kgs. Fetal weight: 2.8 Kgs) and recently we did Doppler scanning test (same as Ultrasound), in this we have observed couple of results as follows. 1. Mild Pelviectasis of fetal kidneys seen AP Diameter of left renan pelvis 5.1 mms AP Diameter of right renan pelvis 2.9 mms 2. single loop of cord is seen around fetal neck. My wife age is 35 years and for my wife it is first pregnancy. In her 3rd month she undergone threatened Abortion, but it got recovered completely and now it is in 36 weeks. As per the first result will there be any concerns to our baby after the birth. The doctor suggested it will be common and not to worry, sometimes it get correct after the deliveries or after 8 days (or 3 months) need to do ultrasound scanning to the baby. Really worried about it. As per the second result (single loop of cord is seen around fetal neck), will there be any issue to my wife and baby at the time delivery. We belive normal delivery will be good, but still C-section will be better option in this case. Please can you suggestion on it. Please let us know your suggestions and feedback in this case. Thanks. Hello Welcome to Health Care Magic.
Don't worry much. Stay calm.
1. fetal kidney development is not under anyone's control so your wife have reached to 36 weeks and think about it after delivery. once the baby is out go for renal function test and get the queries solved.
2. It is not possible to decide in advance that your wife will have normal birth or c-section. at the time of delivery, baby's weight, head circumference, fetal distress, position, size of pelvis outlet, position of cord everything plays equal role. during modern era if there is loop around neck of the baby then generally doctors do not take trial for normal delivery at the time of delivery. but if before that loop unwinds anyhow then you can think for normal delivery also.
Hope this information helps you.
Best wishes.
