General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. Microgynin 30 is a cyclical hormonal contraceptive pill, which results in withdrawal bleeding on stopping the pill. Once the pills are withdrawn, there is stimulation of normal ovulation & regular menstrual cycle. It seems ,in your case, it has started again. Now you should, Get your abdominal USG done to confirm/exclude PCOD. - Hormonal imbalance often presents with such symptoms. You should get your complete hormonal assay done. This will revel any abnormality in hormonal pattern(Pitutory, hypothalamus, ovary, thyroid) .Consultation of an Endocrinologist would guide you for further specific treatment. Thanks.
