Is Swelling In Lungs Due To Slow Circulation Curable?
my question is that my grandfather is 72 years old and they had suffered From severe Heart Attack And Their Heart Working become 20% And Also he had A problem In Breathing And Doctors Said that He Had Got Swelling In The His Lungs Due To Slow Circulation Of Blood Through Heart To Lungs is he able to Cure From these Circumstances??
Hi, Thanks for asking. I went through the history you have provided and I am able to comment as below. 1. It appears to be pulmonary edema due to back pressure. 2. As massive myocardial infarction has occurred, the heart is not able to function to its full capacity. 3. Ejection fraction is 20%. Normal value is 55-60%. As the heart is infarcted, load cannot be increased using medications. 4. If heart function improves, then only lung condition will improve. 5. Avoid any infection as it can become very serious due to compromised lung and heart function.
In the present situation, lung condition cannot improve. Any further queries, happy to help again.
