Hi,
Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic.
Lumps between groin and hip should be inguinal
lymph nodes.
Lymph nodes are usually hypoechoic with central hyperechoic fatty hilum.
Inguinal lymph nodes are usually big and upto 2 cms is normal in size.
If they are bigger than 2 cms, you should be worried.
If bigger than 2 cms, you have to determine whether they are oval, fatty hilum is maintained or not. If oval and fatty hilum is maintained then you can be sure they are inflammatory and will subside in some time after medications. If not then you have to undergo FNAC/
Biopsy for confirmatory diagnosis.
Depending on the facts your scale of worrying should be,
If less than 2 cms - 1/10.
>2cms with maintained hilum and oval - 3/10. should be followed up after medications.
If >cms and fatty hilum not maintained and they are rounded - 7/10. It is to be worried and you should undergo tissue diagnosis and treatment accordingly.
Hope it sorts your problem.
Regards.
